| The Energy Performance Certificate | |

The certificate will contain an Energy Efficience Rating similar to those available for domestic electrical appliances. The energy rating is a measure of the overall efficiency of a home. The Environmental (CO2) Impact Rating gives a measure of the home's impact on the environment in terms of Carbon Dioxide emissions. There will also be a table of energy use with costs and a summary of energy performance features found in the home during the survey. In order to improve the home's performance in energy terms, there will be details of simple recommended low-cost and higher cost measures to improve the home's performance ratings. Further measures that could be used to make significant contributions (including renewable technologies) are also included in the report
